The Waskesiu Fire Department provides fire and rescue services to the Prince Albert National Park which includes the community of Waskesiu. The Fire Department consists of one part time Fire Chief, 4 Captains and 17 Firefighters during our peak summer season. Firefighters are paid for emergency responses and training.
Dispatching is done by 9-1-1 Fire dispatch which is located in the City of Prince Albert. The department operates out of one fire hall using custom fire truck Engine 171. The department has mutual aid agreements with the Lakeland Fire Department and City of Prince Albert Fire Department.
